Graphical Overview - Display Boats with Fixed Lengths or Proportional Lengths

Quick Intro

Boats can be displayed on the marina graphics in proportion to their actual recorded length. While this provides a more accurate visual representation, larger vessels may appear oversized compared to the overall graphic layout. This article explains how to toggle this setting and return boats to a standard display size.

Where To Find It

  • Go to the Program menu (this is at the top of your main Havenstar window, not in the Nav Bar).
  • Open User Options.
  • On the first tab, titled Options, locate the Boat section.

    • Toggle Actual Boat Length Display

    If boats are appearing too large on the marina graphics, you can switch off the setting that displays vessels based on their actual length.

    1. Open User Options
    2. In the Boat section, find Show actual lengths: boats are shown in proportion to their length on the graphics
    3. Untick this option
    4. Click Save

    Once disabled, boats will be displayed using the standard graphic size rather than being scaled according to their recorded length.

  • This setting only affects how boats are displayed on the graphics screen
  • Disabling the option does not change the actual boat length stored in the system
  • The setting is user-specific and may need to be updated for each user who experiences the issue
