Fuel Manager - Correcting Mistakes

Fuel Manager - Correcting Mistakes

Introduction

If you have made a mistake in Fuel Manager, the corrections should be made as soon as possible.
Below is a list of possible scenarios that you may encounter, and how to fix.

Marina Usage

These cannot be edited once posted, but there are a couple of options:
A. Enter another log, correctly, with an explanatory note, and make sure that is expected at the next dip reading.
B. Contact support to have the erroneous record removed.

Dip Reading

Enter another reading, with an explanatory note. The system will enter an adjustment for the difference.

Goods Received

GRNs can be edited up until the point the new stock has been blended. At this point, you will have to contact support to correct the records. If the stock has not been blended, however:
1. Go to the Goods Received screen.
2. Select the supplier and enter the unique delivery reference. This will load the GRN details.
3. If the GRN was posted, click the Unpost button to make it editable. This option will be unavailable if a blend has been completed already.
4. Right-click in the small grid to remove individual items from the note, or click the Delete button to delete the whole thing.
5. Enter new items as required.

Blends

You can overwrite existing blends by entering the exact same date and time as the old one. Alternatively, enter a new one with a slightly later time.
You can also override the calculated blended value – if required – by clicking the Edit button next to the edit box.
If you have already completed a subsequent price change, you will have to do another one after you change the blend.

Competitor Prices

Simply re-enter the price – you will be prompted to overwrite the erroneous one if the date is the same.

Fuel Price

Once you have ensured that all other records are correct, proceed to the Price Calculation screen to change the price. It is not possible to remove erroneous price changes or backdate new ones. If records need removing, contact support.

Warning
Important: do not attempt to circumvent the Fuel Manager and update fuel service codes manually; this would defeat the purpose, and cause problems with the reports. Contact support if there is a problem.
